Personal Goals

Please think carefully about three specific goals that you'd like to accomplish on the volleyball court this season and post them to the blog by this Friday.

Aim to be specific and realistic in your goals. For example, writing, "I want to be a really good hitter" is pretty broad. Try tightening it into something like, "I want to hit on top of the ball to make my hits much faster and harder." Keep your standards high, but think about what you can accomplish in the course of two months.

You might also want to dedicate at least one of your goals to something mental instead of physical. For example, you might write, "I want to be more verbal in giving my teammates both praise and constructive criticism," or "I need to show a more positive attitude during practice and in games."

Here are my three goals as your coach:

1. To push each one of you to your limit during every practice so that you leave the gym red-faced, sweaty, and smiling because you know you got a little better today.

2. To be consistent in enforcing the rules so that they become automatic to you.

3. To earn your trust and respect, and to help you learn to trust and respect each other.

My Goals!!
1. My first goal this volleyball season is to become a better middle hitter by doing the following thing. Aiming to hit the top, shiny part of the ball and to get my vertical higher so it is easier to hit the top of the ball!
2. My second goal this season is to form a family type bond with the team and to create friendships that will last throughout my highschool career and beyond.
3. My third and final goal this highschool season is to work to my full potential and give it my all everyday. I don’t want to have days where I slack off a little because I am tired or am having a bad day. I want this goal to succeed more than the be others because I know if I give it my all everyday I will be a better player and be in awesome shape!

1.I want to be able to snap my wrist when hitting so that I can slam the ball hard into the ground without tit going out of the court.
2.I would like to be able to serve a floater serve over to the other side of the court making it hard for the other team to bump it to their setter.
3.Lastly, I would like to make long lasting friendships that last throughout the year and into my senior year.

AS ERIN, ONE OF YOUR TEAMATES, I HAVE SET (LIKE ALL OF YOU) SOME PERSONAL GOALS FOR MYSELF. THEY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

1. THAT I LEARN HOW TO DO VOLLEYBALL WAY BETTER SO I CAN MAKE THE TEAM NEXT YEAR AND CONTINUE UNTIL SENIOR YEAR. I MAINLY WANT TO DO THIS BECAUSE IN ORDER TO PLAY VOLLEYBALL THIS YEAR I GAVE UP BOTH SOFTBALL AND ACTING. THAT IS HOW MUCH I LOVE THE SPORT AND WILL DO ANYTHING TO PLAY IT.
2. I ALSO, BY THE END OF THE YEAR, WOULD LIKE TO HAVE WON AT LEAST HALF OF OUR GAMES. I REALLY, IN THE NAME OF COMPETITIVE SPORTS, WANT TO DOMINATE THE LEAGUE. LIKE SEYERS SAID, LET’S MAKE EVERYONE FEAR US!
3. MY FINAL GOAL, WHCIH WAS ALREADY MET, WAS TO MAKE SOME OF THE COOLEST FRIEND’S ALIVE! YOU GUYS ROCK!

1. One of my goals is to become a better person on the team and for myself during when the season is over I hope to feel as if I became a little better.

2. I hope to earn each friendship and respect of each individual girl and the coach.

3. I want to increase my skills on the court and just all around becoming a better player.

My volleyball goals...

1) My first goal is to become a better outside hitter by snapping my wrist more when I hit the ball.

2) My second goal is to become a better server, by hitting the top more so that the ball goes over the net harder, faster, and closer to the net.

3) My third goal is to create great friendships that will last a long time, and be close to the whole team.
